Don't Ask, Don't Tell
I think “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” should only pertain to the matter of whether or not someone lives with their parents. I think everyone would just rather assume everyone else is doing well for themselves and has a nice little 2-bedroom rental thing going on.

Two birds flew by me today, one squawking something I know I have heard before.
“Your man ain’t shit. Why are you even with that asshole?”
What, to me, seemed like a perfectly simple question had the other bird stunned. I would think that you could sum up her whole situation with a quick Pro/Con list. Something like:
Cons - No job. No place to live. No car. No drive. No style....
